When go travelling on an aeroplane, you will need to either switch off your Samsung Galaxy S 2 or enable the airplane mode.

When airplane mode is enabled all your signal is switch off, so you want be able to make use of the wireless function. For example you will not be able to make or receive call, use Youtube, Facebook browse the web or send any messages. However you will be able listen to music, take note/memo, watch video file that is stored on the device and use any app that does not require an internet connection.

1. Press the Home key.

2. Next open the Application list.

3. Select Settings.

4. Choose Wireless and network.

5. Then select Airplane mode/Flight Mode checkbox. A green tick will appear when it is enabled.
