Here are detail instructions of how you can import contacts from Google account into the Samsung Galaxy S 2.

You may have a Google accounts already and most of your friend's contact details are in Google account. Why not import it into your device so you don't have to manually create those records again?

1. Press the Home key.

2. Next open the Application list and select Settings, or tap Menu android-menu-key key and select Settings.

3. Tap on Contacts.

4. Now tap the Menu android-menu-key key.

5. Then tap on Accounts.

6. Under the section Manage Accounts, select your Google account. If you haven't add a Google account to your phone yet, then read this article showing you how to. Samsung Galaxy S 2: How to Add Google Account to Contacts.

7. On the next screen, you have the following options:

  • Sync Intant Upload
  • Sync Google+
  • Sync Contacts
  • Sync Gmail
  • Sync Calendar

Select Sync Contacts. If you would like to sync other informations, then you can do so at this point too.

8. Once the sync is completed, you will see a new date and time is recorded telling the last time the sync took place.
