Samsung Galaxy S 2: How to Mute Keypad Sound

Learn how you could mute the keypad sound on your Samsung Galaxy S 2.

When you start to type on the keypad it may make a dial sound, this may become annoying after you using your phone for a while. You can enable or disable this feature from the setting menu. Here's how:

1. Press the Home key.

2. Select Menu android-menu-key key.

3. Pick Settings.

4. Then choose Sounds.

5. Tap on Audible touch tones.

6. Now you can set to enable or disable it.

Once it is disabled, you could bring up the keyboard and test it out to see if you still hear the sound while typing.
