Adjusting the volume is setting the volume level according to user's will. 

You can adjust the volume as you want by following this guide: 

• Pressing the Volume Up key on the right side of your BlackBerry® device to increase the volume.
• Pressing the Volume Down key on the right side of your BlackBerry® device to decrease the volume.
• Pressing the Mute key on the top of your BlackBerry® device to minimum the volume. To turn off Mute, press Mute key again. If you press the Mute key while you're having a call, you still can hear the others on the call but they do not hear you because your BlackBerry® device has muted the call.
