Here are the steps to clear rencent open file sin Excel 2010.

Everytime you open an excel file, it is recorded into the Recent Workbook list. Sometime for personal reason, you may not like it to be added to the list. You can remove a single file from recent list or you could remove the whole recent list at the same time. Here's how:

Remove one file:

1. Click on the File tab.

2. Then Click Recent option.

3. On the right hand panel, right click on a desire Excel file under Recent Workbooks, select Remove from list.

Remove all recent files:

1. Click on the File tab.

2. Then Click Recent option.

3. On the right hand panel, right click on any location under Recent Workbooks, select Clear unpinned Workbooks.
