If you don't want to use the Yahoo! toolbar add-on in the Firefox web browser you could remove it so that you have more screen space.

When install certain software such as Yahoo Messenger the Yahoo toolbar add-on is installed on Firefox. The toolbar has a search box allowing you to do some searching on the web. In addition it also has some shortcuts to mailbox, electronic shopping website, news site and etc.
