Whether you are on a post paid or prepaid plan, when you lost your Optus SIM card it could cost you money to get a replacement.

Your phone will need a SIM card in order for it to work. Here's is some trick you could use to get another SIM card, and if you are lucky you don't have to pay a replacement cost. Here is what you have to do.

1. Go to the Optus store and tell them that the SIM is damage and that you needed a new one. If you tell them that you have lost it then you will have to pay for a new one at $25. If you don't want the hassle, then of course you could just make the payment.

2. Once on you got the SIM card, put it into your phone and then call up Optus customer service to activate it.

Some trick you could try to get it free:

1. Go to Optus World store and tell them you need a SIM as a backup SIM, they will give to you for free.

2. Tell the sales people that you rang Optus customer service and they told you that you could get a replacement card for free.

3. Tell them that the card was damage and you threw it away.
