Home iPad Tips iPad 2: How To Connect To Wi-Fi Network
Author:

Use the iPad 2 and connect to the Wi-Fi network so you could use the internet through the Wi-Fi network. Once connected you could also share files such as document, music or video. Here's how:

First you need to enable Wi-Fi on the device.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select Wi-Fi and ensure it is set to the On status.

Next you can join the Wi-Fi network.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select Wi-Fi, iPad will now try to find an available networks in range. Now select the appropriate network that is showing up. Depend on the setup of the network you may have to enter in the require passowrd. You will see a lock icon indicating that the network is secure with a password.

iPad will be able to remember the network that you have previously joined, so the next time you are in the range of that network iPad will automatically attempt to connect to that network.

Once you are connected the iPad 2 will show the Wi-Fi ipad-2-wifi-status icon on the status bar.

make sure that the password is in proper lower and upper case. Also check if you got the right password.

I cannot connect to the internet on my i-pad 2. My network comes up with a check and my wi-fi is on. I did work but suddenly it doesn't. It is fully charged.

Here is a few things to check:

    1. Have you check if there is a firewall on the network that block your internet connection?

    2. Have you change the security setting on the router recently. For example change the encryption type WPA2/AES, WPA, TKIP and etc. If so you will need to reconnect your iPad.

    3. Try to restart your router. It could be an IP address issue.

    On the opposite side...

Someone else signed into my office wifi with their username and password.

I can't figure out how to disconnect THEM and get ME signed onto the same network.

    HELP PLEASE! Thank you!

Adam - What Wifi Modem are you using. Normally you could block their IP address or the IP region they are from. Of course you may not want to block a region as you may block other legitimate user.

Other options is to change the Wi-Fi modem passcode.
