Find out how to make a bookmark location on the map. This will create a shortcut in the bookmarks list which later you can tap on it and the bookmark should take you straight to the desire location. Here's how:

1. Start the map application.

2. Now browse to a location on the map

3. Tap on the pin. If there are no pin then you will have to mark a location. iPad 2: How to Mark A Location On Map.

4. Tap on the I  icon next to the name or description.

5. Next tap on Add to Bookmarks.

Now your bookmark is added to the list.

Later when you want to view that bookmark simply tap on the book  icon, tap on Bookmark or Recents button at the bottom of the popup.
