When recieving the "Not Charging" message and you want to quickly charge your iPad so that you could use it, you could try to do the following have the device up and running again.

- Use the Power adaptor and plugin it into the iPad.

- If you don't have the power adapter then use the 10W USB power adaptor and plug it into the computer USB port. This charger longer the power adapter because the computer give out a lower charge voltage.

- If you are not using the device at the time, you could also turn if off, to help the device quickly recharge.

If after plugin in the USB cable and you see it's not charging, then make sure you computer support the newer version of USB. Some older PC and MAC does not provider enough power to charge. You could use the Dock Connector instead.
