You can set the passcode lock on the iPad so that when someone else got hold of it they would not able to view your private data on the device. Passcode is a great way to protect your data and save on bills. If someone use the device and abuse the data usage you could be paying alot for the bill. here's how put the passcode on:

1. Go the Home Screen.

2. Pick Settings.

3. Tap on General.

4. Select Passcode Lock.

5. Set Turn Passcode to On.

6. Now enter your desire 4 digit password, then enter it again to verify.

Now when you access your iPad you will need to enter this 4 digits.
