By default the iPad 2 has the annoying auto correction turn on, you can turn off the auto correction if you don't like to use it. As you type on the screen a list of suggested words appear so you can select it and you don't have to type it out. Here's how to turn it off:

1. Go to the Home screen.

2. Select General.

3. Then select Keyboard.

4. Finally you can select Auto-Correction On or Off as desire.
