Here is a step that you can enable to quickly preview a message on the home screen.

When you have an incoming message, the Home screen can quickly show you a preview of the message. If it is deem necessary you can open the message and view it straight away, otherwise you could leave it to see it later when you are free.

Here are the steps:

1. Press the Home key.

2. Now select Settings.

3. Choose Messages.

4. Now switch Show Preview to On or Off.
