Home iPhone Tips iPhone 4: How to Enable Field Subject Line in Messages
Author:

On the iPhone 4 you can choose to show or hide the subject line of a message.

When viewing an email in Outlook normally we would see a subject line. You could also view subject line on the iPhone device. You must first enable it though. Here's how:

1. Press the Home key.

2. Now select Settings.

3. Select Messages.

4. Then switch Show Subject Field to On or Off as desire.

Did you like this tip?

Now when you compose or receive a new email you will see the subject line appear on the screen.

Hi, I'm wondering if you can help?

I've bought an iPhone 4s and every time I receive a text message the subject field is also displayed.

I have gone into settings / messages to turn the subject field off however it doesn't seem to have worked.

    Do you have any advise?
    Thanks

  • Helen  - Modifying the subject line in outlook and viewing
    Hi all

    Wondering if you could help....

I manage my boss's emails via outlook when he is away. To help him know that his emails are being managed, I usually update the subject line in outlook with some notes but keeping the original subject title and click on save.

You are able to see the update of the subject line via your computer screen but when my boss looks at it via his iphone, he only sees the original text (he can't see my comments/updates).

Questions: is there anyway or an app that we can use which reflects the changes/updates via his iphone? that will help him see my updates in the subject line?

Your help would be much appreciated...

    Thanks
