What is a charset? The term charset, is short for “character set”. Charsets are identifiers used to describe a series of universal characters used in web and internet protocols such as HTML and Microsoft Windows.

So how can you change charset =iso-8859-1 to charset =UTF-8 in vBulletin?

Here is how:

1. Use the username/password as administrator to access inside the admincp system(vBulletin Admin Control Panel)

2. After logged, on the left column you will see the option Languages & Phrases.

3. Next select Language Manager.

4. Click Edit Settings.

5. Find to HTML Character Set field.

6. Change from iso-8859-1 to UTF-8.
