Disable User Account Control (UAC) on Windows 7 or Vista

If you are getting really annoyed with the new User Account Control (UAC) feature that come with Windows Vista or Windows 7 then you can simply turning it off or control the frequency that it will prompt you. Windows provide a GUI interface, which you can use to switch off the UAC prompt. Bare in mind that if you are going to switch off the UAC then your system will be less secured.

Disable UAC on Windows 7

Start the control panel and in the search box enter "UAC" into the search box. Then click on the Change User Account Control Settings

On the User Account Control Settings prompt, you can adjust how the prompt will appear. If you drag the slider down to the bottom, you will completely disable the UAC and dragging it all the way to the top will give you the maximum annoyances.

Disable UAC on Windows Vista

Go to control Panel and in the search box type in "UAC". Then under User Accounts click on "Turn Users Account Control (UAC) on or off".

A new prompt should pops up, make sure you have unchecked the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" click on OK to accept the changes.

Restart you computer to apply the new changes.
