Learn how you could connect to Facebook chat on Pidgin Messenger.

Facebook has become so popular that most chat messenger such as Yahoo messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Skype and etc has a Facebook chat interface.

First you will need to download the plugin available below:

• For Windows Users: pidgin-facebookchat-1.69.exe
• For Ubuntu/Debian user: pidgin-facebookchat-1.69.deb
• For Pidgin Portable .dll download: libfacebook-1.69.dll (and json-glib from here)

1. First download the plugin and install it.

2. Now close Pidgin Messenger and open it again.

3. Then go to Tools > Plugins so the device can detect the new plugin.

Now you can connect the new Facebook account to start chatting.

1. Click on Accounts > Manage Accounts > Add.

2. From the drop down list select Facebook.

3. Now put in the Facebook username and password.
