Here are easy steps of how you can use to set a filter to automatically redirect incoming email to a different folder then the inbox folder. 1. First you will need to create a new folder that you want the mail to go to. Login into your Yahoo mail account. 2. On the left hand side under the Folders section click on the + icon.
3. Then give your folder a name and click on OK. A new folder should be created under the Folders section.
4. Now click on Options > Mail Options from the top menu navigation.
5. On the left hand side, under Advanced Options click on Filters. 6. The click on the + Add button on the right hand side.
7. On the right hand panel, give your filter a name, the set you filter. You can set the filter base on the Sender email address or name, Recipient, Subject or Email Body text message. From the drop down box you can set the filter the text to Contains, Does not contain, Begins with or Ends with. 8. Under the section Then deiliver the email to the following folder select the folder want to want the filter email to goes to.
9. Now you can click on the General option to save your changes. Leave a comment if you cannot get this to work.
